I hold an undergraduate degree in Sociology and Women's Studies from Syracuse University and a Master of Social Work from East Carolina University. I have over 20 years of experience in the social services field including working in community mental health, inpatient psychiatric services, inpatient and outpatient substance use, child protective services and school mental health. I am passionate about social justice and equality. I love to be outside and explore new places both near and far. I am married, have 3 children and currently live in Alabama. I am from upstate New York and found my way to Alabama after time in North Carolina and Virginia. ​
